China has become the largest connector market in the world
In terms of regional distribution, the global connector market is mainly distributed in North America, Europe, Japan, China and Asia Pacific (excluding Japan and China), which account for more than 90% of the global connector market. In recent years, due to the impact of global economic fluctuations, the connector markets in North America, Europe and Japan have experienced slow growth, even a downward trend. Emerging markets represented by China and the Asia Pacific region have shown strong growth, becoming the main driving force for the growth of the global connector market. From 2000 to 2010, the compound growth rate reached 19.34%. In the same period, the growth rates of Europe, North America and Japan were 2.07%, -3.73% and 1.39% respectively. In 2011, the Chinese connector market was US $11.296 billion, ranking first in the world, accounting for 23.4% of the global market. The compound growth rate of the Chinese connector industry from 2009 to 2015 reached 13.59%, much higher than the global 8.05% growth rate in the same period.
The connectors produced in China are still mainly in the middle and low end, and the high-end demand has not been met. The connectors produced in China are mainly medium and low-end, with a relatively low share of high-end connectors, but the demand growth is fast. At present, the development of connectors in China is in the transition period from production to creation. There is a huge demand for high-end connectors, especially in automotive, telecommunications and data communications, computers and peripheral equipment, industry, military aviation and other fields, which makes the high-end connector market grow rapidly.
The growth rate of China's connector industry is far higher than that of the world. With the transfer of the world manufacturing industry to Chinese Mainland, the production focus of global connectors has also shifted to Chinese Mainland, and China has become the largest connector production base in the world. The overall level of connector manufacturing in China has been rapidly improved, and the connector market has expanded year by year. China has become the region with the most potential and fastest growth in the global connector market.
