This sheathed cable processing machine integrates end-to-end wire handling functions: wire cutting, outer-sheath stripping, core-wire stripping, twisting and tinning on one end, and terminal crimping with connector housing insertion on the other. It supports both round and flat two-core sheathed cables and multiple terminal feed types.
An onboard CCD visual inspection system checks and automatically corrects core color sequence before housing insertion to ensure correct orientation. The crimping unit is cast from ductile iron for enhanced rigidity and stable crimp height; an optional terminal pressure monitor records the pressure curve and can alarm and stop the machine on abnormal readings.
The machine uses a wire-clamp feeding method to deliver accurate, indentation-free cuts, with clamp stroke customizable to customer length requirements. Cutting/stripping and translation axes are driven by high-precision servo motors and the cutter employs a bidirectional screw structure to achieve consistent, high-accuracy stripping and precise terminal positioning.
Built on a modular, flexible architecture, individual functional modules (for example, housing insertion) can be enabled or disabled via software to adapt to different product requirements. Changing terminals requires only replacement of the crimping die, vibration feeder plate and penetration fixtures—minimizing downtime. User operation is via a color touchscreen with intuitive parameter setting and program memory; an optional industrial computer and built-in network interface provide MES connectivity for remote parameter access and production scheduling.
