Automated Housing and Heat-Shrink Tube Insertion Machine

This fully automated machine integrates multiple wire processing functions, including wire cutting, stripping, terminal crimping at both ends, and the insertion of heat-shrink tubing on one end and housing connectors on the other. Leveraging advanced vibratory plate feeders and precision-driven mechanisms, it ensures optimal positioning of materials like housing connectors and heat-shrink tubings for seamless operations.

The system is designed to accommodate 2–8 wire color configurations (customizable), with programming options that enable specific color orders and multiple uses of each color during assembly. After processing, wires are automatically inserted into a housing for sequential assembly, optimizing efficiency and reducing manual steps.

This machine’s modular and flexible architecture makes it suitable for a wide variety of applications. Operators can enable or disable specific modules, such as heat-shrink or housing insertion, depending on production demands. Furthermore, quick-change crimping applicators and feeding fixtures minimize downtime during terminal adjustments.

Equipped with high-precision servo motors for cutting and stripping, the machine guarantees consistent and reliable performance. The positive-negative screw mechanism enhances stripping accuracy, while a linear translation system prevents wire deformation, ensuring compliance with high industrial standards.

The crimping module, constructed from ductile iron, ensures durability and accurate crimping heights. Optional additions, including crimp-force monitors and visual inspection systems, further enhance quality assurance by flagging shape or dimensional anomalies. Additional utilities, such as a servo crimping drive and industrial control computer, elevate automation capabilities, support MES system integration, and enable remote parameter control.

Ease of operation is achieved through an intuitive color touchscreen interface, where users can define parameter settings and store multiple program templates for quick transitions between jobs.
